Jess Hall-Judge and I headed down to Long Bay Beach on a moody afternoon to shoot Edge of the Tide. That exact stretch of beach holds a lot of history for us — years ago we used to spend hours there taking photos, experimenting and figuring things out, long before any of it was for magazines. Going back felt a bit like returning to where it all started for me and where my love for photography really came to life. The shoot itself was simple and quick, just working with the tide, the wind, and the grey sky. Nothing overly planned or complicated — but sometimes those are the shoots that work best. Edge of the Tide was later published on the cover of Enzomnia magazine.
